One of my scary experience

Everyone has something he fears for, and I have, too. Usually, I believe the science more, but in fact, I fear this thing which is not existed in science. That is ghost. I will tell you one of my scary experiences, and this is why I fear the ghost.

There was, I remember when I was a junior high school student, I met the ghost. At one night, I went to bed as usual, and went to my dream soon. Suddenly, I waked up. I felt cold and started to tremble. This cold is not the general cold. It is totally different. I felt cold from my head to my feet. Besides cold, I couldn’t do any moving, I tried to move my arms, hands, and body, but they didn’t work. I could just open my eye, and I saw some shadow jump up and down on my body. At that time, I was conscious of this is the thing people call it the ghost press you in the bed. This is the term the Chinese call it. Then, I felt afraid, so I tried to chant incantations about the Buddhist saying as usual. I wanted to banish this ghost as soon as possible, so I chanted incantations so quick, and didn’t stop, but it didn’t work. In addition, I thought the action I chant incantations maybe anger it because I felt harder and harder. Suddenly, I heard something which is very weird. I heard this ghost told me something. It said “Xi Xi Xi, do you know why chanting incantations doesn’t work? This is because the god’s eye is covered from dust. ” Indeed, at that time, my family worshiped the one god in my home. Finally, I forgot how to stop this situation, but I just knew I jumped to the bed suddenly. Then I ran away from my room, and went to my brother’s room because, at that time, I thought that more men are safer.

During this experience, I started to believe the ghost is existed, and I started to avoid something maybe contact with them easier. But, when I was in senior high school, I even went adventuring in tomb with a group of my friends. Maybe I overcome the ghost just by a lot of people.

One of my embarrassing experience

You see that I stand here, and share my story. You must think that I like English in my whole life or I am good for studying English, but in fact, I hate studying English before, and my English grades are also poor before. You must be so curious why I am here, why I am here to tell you of my story. It’s all about one of my embarrassing experiences. Let me tell you what’s happened in this embarrassing experience.

On July 14th, 2005. I attended at the international conference about AI in Hong Kong. Before that date, my professor had asked me to present our research on this conference unfortunately by using English. My English level had been poor in that time, but I still had wanted to try it. On that day, when I reached the conference place, I felt shocked. It was in the 5-star hotel near the harbor. The view was very beautiful, but I was not in the mood to watch this beautiful scenery, because I was a little nervous. I worried about I didn’t memorize my script, and I worried about if somebody asked questions to me, but I couldn’t answer them. Then, I entered to the session room where I will present in. I felt shocked again. It was so big. I guessed maybe there were 80 to 100 seats in this room. At that time, I felt the more nervous because I was afraid that I will do something wrong later. Eventually, my time was coming. I presented my research well. After presenting, I was a little happy that I didn’t do something wrong, but the happy time was not too long. After presenting, it was the Q&A time. It was just a hard time. I remembered that a Taiwanese professor asked me the first question, but in fact, I just understood half about his question. I tried to explain my conclusion, but I knew I couldn’t solve his question. Next, an Indian asked me the second question, and this time was awful. I totally couldn’t understand what he was talking about. At that time, I started to felt embarrassed because it was like a stalemate. We couldn’t communicate with each other. Next, a Japanese tried to ask me slowly, but I still couldn’t understand his question. At that time, I felt other audiences must believe I was a fool, and why my English was so bad. I thought this, and felt embarrassed a lot. This was my first time I thought my English was really poor.

Retuning to Taiwan, I started to accept learning English, because after this experience, I knew having a good idea is not big deal, and the most important thing is you know how to pass it to others. Therefore, this embarrassing experience changed me, and this is why I am here.

The Taiwanese are crazy for “The Cape No.7”

Have you ever watched the hottest movie, The Cape No.7, which made the Taiwanese crazy? Have you noticed almost all people around you are talking about this film? Have you found almost news, TV programs, and radio programs are discussing it? Indeed, recently, it is the hottest movie in Taiwan. The sales of box office in all Taiwan earn more than 4 hundred million NT dollars, and it is also the 2nd in the box office chart since the beginning of record history. Especially, this movie is a domestic one. It is very rare to see the domestic movie become so popular, and make the Taiwanese crazy, but this movie gets it. Why is this movie so successful? I think this question is also a question for many readers.

In my opinion,”The Cape No.7” seizes 3 factors, funny, having feeling, and web marketing. First, it is really funny. The director, Mr. Wei, designed many ideas to make audiences laugh, and indeed, he got it. He made almost every audience give a hearty laugh in the movie theater. In addition, recently, it was the bad time for the Taiwanese because of the bad economy and the bad stock market. They were not happy, so they wanted to do something to relax. This movie just made them happy. Second, this movie is similar to our usual life. For example, in south of Taiwan, the police allow the residents riding their scooters without helmets. Many situations are similar to the Taiwanese’s life, so they have the feeling that it is a story close to them. Third, this movie is advertised by using web marketing a lot. Now, it is a web 2.0 periods, and online users have the ability to affect each other. Therefore, this movie company focused on web marketing. They hired some people to criticize this movie in good things on the Internet, and those articles attracted some people to watch it and posted their opinions on the internet. Then, the more people were attracted to watch it because of those many opinions. This is the power of the web 2.0.

I have watched this movie. I think that this movie is a good one, but in fact, it is not very excellent. I believe some domestic movies are better than it in the context, but this movie indeed broke the record in the Taiwanese movie history. It is not on the top, but it makes us laugh a lot, and it touches our heard deeply. The most important thing is that this movie represents the domestic movie market. We should support them to make more Taiwanese directors create more excellent domestic movies, and go out to the international movie markets. Have you watched”The Cape No.7”? If your answer is no, just go ahead and watch it.

The causes of the poisonous Chinese milk powder

When we refer to China, we always think of adulterated foods. Recently, one of the most serious news is about the poisonous Chinese milk powder. According to the reports, Chinese milk powder, which contaminated with melamine, has sickened 1,253 babies, and 2 babies even have already died. Those milk powder manufacturers in China blended melamine into milk powder because they wanted to increase protein content in milk powder to pass the examine. It is illegal, but it seems to be a common custom in Chinese milk powder manufacturing. Why did they do this kind of harmful action without any qualm? The author of this writing will tell you his own opinion about the causes of the poisonous Chinese milk powder.

Firstly, the Chinese had experienced the Culture Revolution. After the Culture Revolution, they have lost some conscience and have not known what is right or wrong. When they face the dilemma of gaining filthy money or being defeated because of doing right things insistently, they often choose gaining filthy money. For example, if you are a herder, you find other herdersproduction of milk is more than yours, and their cost is lower than yours because they added some melamine. Hence, if you do not do that, you can not provide production of milk as much as they can, so you will lose the competition finally. In this situation, maybe you choose gaining filthy money like others. Therefore, people always say Chinese companies are notorious for their greedy for money.

Secondly, there is more and more demand for milk powder in China this year. One cause of the soaring demand is about the population. This year, there are more and more newborn babies born in China because they believe this year is the golden pig year. The more newborn babies stands for they need the more demand for milk powder, but in fact, the supply is not enough. Hence, in order to increase the production of milk powder, those unworthy merchants come up with the ways adding melamine into it. The more demand for milk powder they need, the more melamine they add. Finally, this matter was happened.

The author believes that this matter will have been happened on and off from the past to the future because the greed has become the Chineses culture. Most Chinese companies are greedy for money, so they care money much more than peoples health. Once, demands of whatever products increase, they always have the ability to come up with the tips about how to produce more products with something illegal. As you can see, their greed is the main reason for this matter, so if they do not change their mind, this kind of things will be happened again and again.
